Office Access Cards
Well I do anyway (coz its a lab and its all mostly PnC). I need to beep once at the main doors (Boss area) beep another time after the main door to enter the lab. (lab doors....duh)
Here are somethings NOT to do with the access card
1. When you enter the lift, press the 1st floor button.
DON'T try to use the access card coz er...nothing happens. LOL . You need to PRESS the (1) button.
2. DON'T try to wave the card in front of the bathroom light switch. Nothing happens. LOL
3. When leaving through the side doors. Please DON'T forget to swipe the card. IF not you try to open the door, your head goes smack into the door coz the door didn't open.
4. When you have coffee in one hand and access card in the other hand, don't try and swipe your coffee mug across the detector, nothing happens. LOL
5. And lastly, if you have your access card in your pocket, be sure to take it out. Otherwise swiping the detector with just your hand doesn't work. LOL

- woke up at torturous hours in the morning, only to find out that I was snoring all night. Gosh and that the whole bed shook. It was bad enough I didnt have ANY blankets, but the bed was really short. And so sleeping in weirdest of weird positions really underlined how uncomfortable I was.
-oh well, get ready for a bus ride to Tenom. Tenom is about 2 1/2 hours drive from KK. We were going for White water rafting. wooohooo! The drive there was pain itself as even thought the van was modern, but the suspension at the back was too soft. I was bouncing around and knocking my head all over the place.
-arrived in Tenom Hydroelectric power station.
-Here unfortunately no photos but the next ride was an interesting one.
Picture this
A wooden board about 2m x 2m. under the board are wheels suitable to go on rails. Haha which is exactly what it did. You sit on it (max of 4 ppl) and the 4th person is a local and he stands on the board while holding a large stick. The stick is used to push you along and once you get rolling
, you roll downhill on the rails. LOL wheeeeeeeeee
We reach the place where they keep all the rafts. A quick briefing later and we're in the waters ready to face some rapids. this was my 1st time rafting and it was just so much fun.
-took a light lunch break in a pondok by the river and then off we go to face more rapids. This time the rapids weren't so rough because we're about to reach the end of the rafting experience. Finally we get picked up by a speedboat which took us to Tenom. Here we hop onto our van and drive back to KK.

-wookay, I wake up at 1.45 am and quickly cooked some maggi. (alaaa kasik alas perut je)
-grab on as many clothes as possible and meet up with our guide. Time to go. THis is the point where you climb the last 2 km. ....2 km seems short....or is it?
-its dark outside with only the moon and our torches to guide us. See the beauty about climbing in the dark is that you don't really see what you are doing, so you don't get distracted by tall rocks and steps. But nevertheless I found it really difficult as I had trouble breathing. I guess even at very high lung capacity I find it difficult, I cant imagine how a smoker would feel.
-Its already 5 am and I'm only at 7 km. waaaaat?? I took 2 1/2 hours just to climb 1 km. ffffffffttttttt
-okay thats sad
-again Pat and Tom took off like rockets. I'm glad they did. This is their 1st time up the mountain and I dont want them to miss the sunrise.
-#%@#^&#%&*%# giler babi penat and giler babi tak leh nafas and giler babi lagi jauh. I took a really long time to get to the peak
-the sun is already visible beyond the clouds. I'm nowhere near the peak. fffttttt
-Rejoyce! Its 7.20 am and I'm ALMOST there. Pat and tom had been camwhoring for ages. Thats alright, finally I meet them at 7.30 am
-We lepak at the peak for about 10 minutes, then had to make our way down. So down we go, and wait a minute...isnt it easier coming down?
HELL NO!
-its not so hard on the breathing, but its not easy on our muscles! Imagine going downhill in Genting, you have to brake brake brake. Same here, we use our calve muscles and quad muscles to brake.
-we reach Gunting Lagadan at 10.15 am and pack our bags and quickly go and grab breakfast.
-we practically ate everything we could, even the air around us. Tom was starting to get sleepy so before I muscles freeze, we may as well make our way down the mountain.
-12 NOON, time to go.
-walking down was a PITA, it rained, mud everywhere, cold, legs tired.
-yes as darling Sin Yee said "you should just run down man, hop hop hop, faster go go go! Dont care about the muscles, you rather be down at the foot of the mountain as early as possible. So you can relax and go and enjoy spa, or hot springs or something."
I agree.
But it didnt happen. We got down at 5 pm. ......#$%@%@^^
-tak pelah, we managed to be in KK by 7.30 pm, time for us to shower and get ready for dinner.

Kinabalu 2
-*yawn* Had a really good sleep at the lodge. Quickly grabbed some breakfast and head towards the National Park entrance. Here we must register as climbers and get our climbing tags and meet our mountain guide, his name is Antonius.
-off we go to Timpohon gate via bus. This is where the climb officially starts so hiho hiho hiho we go. -9.15 am
Let me describe the climb first. As you may know, Kinabalu is 4095m tall. But this is the height of the mountain, not the distance to get to the top. The distance to the peak is 8 km.
-the first 2-3 km is mostly jungle, very humid, lots of trees and roots everywhere with mud all around. At this point I sweat like a piggy boo.
-then at 3-6 km, its starts to get cooler, the body doesnt sweat as much, but our breaths start to get more rapid, and our legs start to really tire. But hurrah, at 6 km, we rest at a place called Laban Rata. This is a mini lodge where climbers rest for the night.
-There is generally no warm water, so you cant shower and there is also not much heating. So when you go to sleep you need to wear all the clothing that you brought up the mountain.
Pat and Tom get to Laban Rata at 4.15 pm, me still lagging a bit due to my lack of fitness and so I reach at 4.40 pm.
-at this point we all were really starving so have dinner at 5pm and then after dinner walk abit to our other hut which is called Gunting Lagadan. here we sleep for the night to wake up at 2 am.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Some photos of KK, random, and kTM
I'm back baby!! Long post
Many thanks to Tom and Pat for giving me encouragement to keep up. LOL honestly I couldn't have done it without you guys.
Ok
-17th June.
After failing to go mamak with the guys because some ppl cancel plans the last minute, I go home and get some sleep. At frikkin 3.30 am I wake up and get ready to go to the airport.
-Picked up Tom and Pat on the way and made our way to LCCT. We made it about 80 minutes before flight boarding.
-On the flight the 1st thing we noticed was this gorgeous stewardess by the name of Reni. Gosh, her face had a few scars but my gawd her curves, her smile, her hair, her eyes (fake) were just so scrumptious. bwahahahahah.
-Another Flight attendant by the name of Veronica was just as sweet looking but her curves could beat the curvy roads to Cameron Highlands. drool...this one I like....not sure why.
-I went to the lavoratory and as I came out, Veronica caught me and started chatting with me and she knew my name. (ooooh at this point my spider senses were tingling)
-So we chatted a bit more and I found out she's half white....(so no wonder I like her...kekekek)
I introduced her to Thomas and again she said "aaahh so this is Mr Yap. (again my spider senses set off a few bells)
-back in our seats, the captain made an announcement...."today is a special day, a passenger on seat 12E is having his birthday today....and we would like him to come forward and receive a token of appreciation"
me: "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh (like jakun)"
yaaayy I got a special Air Asia Cap with the crew's signatures on it. hehehehehehe I shook the crews hands (yes ALL of them) and Thomas helped me take photos with them.
Gosh BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!
-time to touch down and managed to grab a photo with Veronica. (but camera tak bagus and most of the green, red and blue colours only came out)
-oh well, we bid the crew farewell and set off to KK town via taxi. Rm20 to get to town. A bit expensive but worth it and thehe cab driver was funny and nice. Thomas asking lots of questions and me admiring gorgeous sabah sumandak left and right.
Thomas: (passing a unique looking building). *points to building* Ini apa?
Cab driver: Itu bangunan bah.
*LOL*
-Reached city and put our bags down at our Backpackers (Kinabalu Backpackers Lodge) and set on foot to town for some food.
-Walked around the city and found great little shops and markets and waterfront pubs (lol)
-met up with Toms' contacts and managed to find the bus stop that has busses going to Kundasang (thats where the mountain is)
-The bus ride was cramped but pleasant (Rm15/head)
-In Kundasang we checked into our lodge and passed time by watching Tv and playing cards "Arsehole" (Bastards to us Kiwis)
-Had a huge dinner and drank some beers (me having Sprite)
-Settled in for a good night sleep.

But there was this report by Senior Vice President 2 at Sime Darby Convention Center at 3.30 pm and all of the ppl at work had to go. Gosh all throughout his presentation I was nodding my head off. Hahahahah yes yes I agree with you, nod nod. ....nod. LOL

Rants
-the past week has seen my car mileage go up like mad due to increased traveling.
-thus I am still slave to Keretapi Tanah Melayu Busuk service..(or lack of...)
-......till I get my brand new bike of course!! woopee!!!
-I'm really looking forward to Thursday!! "Its gonna be epic!"-Pat
-thanks Nadia for helpong out
-Sin Yee: Ben will be your cheaffuer that night...hurhurhurhurhur.
-Will finally be replacing that old exhaust muffler. Sigh....I have to sell it off due to money problems. I'll miss you.
-good god! WHY ARE THERE PPL ABUSING THE RIGHT HAND LANE OF THE FEDERAL HIGHWAY??? Its for OVERTAKING.
-if you want to cruise or your car is just so damn keparat that it cannot go at 80kmph, pls use the middle lane or the left lane.
- And for that matter, why is the car not maintained so it can go at 80 kmph. I believe ..Christine correct me on this...that in NZ if a car does not pass the Warrant of Fitness test it cannot be on the road. Pls get these pieces of junk off the road.
-Malaysians, pls be reminded that using the hazard lights during heavy rains and storms are telling us that your car is in trouble. ...or that you want to go left and right at the same time. So pls decide what you are doing. tq

some shocking events
Sime Darby Research Center organised an RnD Day in Carey Island. BIG event!!!
Big big shots were coming and therefore, we had to be dressed in our best and arrive as early as possible. how early ? 7.30am. kepala hotak kau! Just because big big Senior Vice President was going to be there at 7.30 am, you think we gonna be so rajin to wake up that early?
fat chance.
The event suppose to start at 8.30 am, but Jln kebun (my place) is really really congested that early in the morning. blegh....we only got there at 8.40 am. Decided to leave early at 4.30 pm hehehehe when it was supposed to end at 5.30.
Got home and rested but whadda heck! my sister-in-law called and said her house has been broken into. My brother was all the way in Terengganu and so sleeping in the house alone was the last thing on her mind. She and her maid were'nt brave enough so they called me to ask if I could stay over. fine.
the cops came at about 11 pm and investigated. Lets see, about 98 thousand worth of stuff stolen. The robbers must have injured themselves on the glass window that they cut open. So they left some blood stains on the niece's t-shirts. They also took their time to have a drink of water from their own BOTTLE. AND..left the bottle there. Not too professional.

spooky
Apparently, according to a friend of mine who works in Bukit Tinggi Jaya Jusco Klang, the cinema is haunted. This was because when the cinema was constructed, a couple of workers died due to a collapse in the the structure. (tsk tsk tsk no structural integrity)
Now a fellow colleague of mine has also reported sightings of unwelcome beings. She said that while watching a movie, a pontianak was seen perched on top of the cinema screen. It didnt do much but it managed to single handedly (if it has any hands) evacuate the entire room. I know I would have without much argument.
Pontianak = sometimes regarded as a blood sucking vampire but no, a pontianak is the undead corpse of a woman who died during childbirth. It is said to haunt pregnant woman for revenge.
Also reported in Neway Karaoke (or was it green box?) Bukit Tinggi that a group of 3 people were accused of not paying up the total amount. They were asked to pay up for 6 people according to staff at this joint. How can 3 people add up to 6? According to cctv, there were 6 people in the room. But only 3 showed up. How?

this is what/how the Halogen lamp iluminates
I also tested this one by shining it onto my car. Instantly the surface became hot. fuuuyooohh.
hehehehe *laughs with glee*
Sin yee:
to answer your question, this lamp is used to illuminate the surface of my car when I do my "work".
1. I'd prefer to work at night as it is cooler.
2 .But of course at night you cant see anything!
This lamp allows you to see paint defects such as minor scratches that I wish to remove. Of course it wont make EVERY defect visible but it helps. I'm still studying the reasoning why a halogen lamp works better than an incandescent tungsten lamp.
