Normally a gathering where there is food involved.
The purpose of the the gathering is for
a) maybe someones death anniversary
b) a wedding, hence its called Kenduri Kahwin
c) a short thanksgiving prayer for lets say....doing well in exams.
d) or a prayer for someone who's leaving the country to pursue his studies.
etc etc
